Top Five Upcoming Games – February 2015 Edition

February is set to be a decent month in terms of games coming up, and this article attempts to put the 5 top ones (my opinion obviously) into one place so you can easily see what is coming up.

So without further ado here are my top 5 games of February

Evolve – 10/02/2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC

Evolve, pitting 4 hunter characters against one monster in a team deathmatch style game, although slightly out numbered the monster does however, have a myriad of special abilities if you are able to eat enough wildlife so that you can ‘Evolve’ into the next level. The game has gone through a series of beta tests, and if you had the pleasure of trying the game out then you will know what is in store for you when this hits the shelves soon.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D – 13/02/2015 on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS

This installment of the Legend of Zelda series is a remastered version of the original Majora’s Mask released on the Nintendo 64 in 2000. The game follows Link once again, several months after Ocarina of Time. After finding himself in a parallel reality and that the moon is going to crash into the surface in three days, Link takes on the task of preventing this from happening by procuring special abilities and using his Ocarina to repeat the three day cycle.

The Order: 1886 – 20/02/2015 Exclusively on PlayStation 4

Set in an alternate London is awash with steampunk vibes, it follows a group of 4 Knights as they battle against half-breeds, half man and half beast. After discovering Dark Water, allowing the Knights to live for longer and heal faster, despite this advantage in battle it isn’t until inventors create inventions in the industrial revolution, creating lighting guns, fragmentation grenades and many more.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round – 20/02/2015 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4

The final game in the series (apparently) is bringing the standard gameplay of the DOA series to the new generation of consoles. With it you can expect upgraded visuals and the same interruption triangle system of gameplay, where strikes (normal attacks) beat throws, throws beat holds (strike interception attacks), and holds beat strikes, all of such counterattacks causing extra damage. It brings characters from the Virtua Fighter series as well as classic DOA characters.

Dying Light – 27/02/2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC

After its lengthy delays, we are finally set to get Dying Light in our grubby little mits, what it brings to us is zombies, zombies, parkour and more zombies. The game is set in an open world zombie apocalypse, free running through the expansive area collecting supplies to craft 1 of around 100 weapons available in the game. With a day and night cycle you are required to carry out missions, rescue survivors and set traps for when the night time comes. At night the zombies become completely different, running and jumping after you, climbing buildings and becoming significantly more dangerous. Good Night, Good Luck!

There are many more games being released this month, this is just a taste of some of the games. Good luck whatever you choose to purchase and play.
